Here’s a quick video update from Piscataway Landing Phase II showing the soil cement process. Both Lime and Portland cement used in soil stabilization because of how they interact with the soil and the water on a molecular level, which in turn not only dries out wet soil but improves the quality, compactability and performance of the existing soil.

Haverford Homes Starts Development in Phase II at Brandywine MD. subdivision.

Here is our latest video showing the status of completion at Phase 1 which is almost complete! We are proud to announce Haverford Homes development of Phase II at Piscataway Landing. Phase II will include estate style homes on large 1 and 2 acre lots.

Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke told Congress that creating a full-fledged alternative to Fannie Mae andFreddie Mac would be difficult in the near-term, but he urged lawmakers to lay a “clear path to a new housing financial system.”

Bernanke said a finalized blueprint for the next housing system could spark confidence in the private sector, kick-starting private-label securitization activity. The Fed chair suggested a housing recovery is impossible without a plan.

Thank you to our custom built sump pumps!

This week, our Haverford homeowners were thankful they owned a Haverford home for the following reasons:

Our Haverford designed sump pumps pits are twice the size of regular builder installed sump pits.

We install 2 sump pumps in each one. The first one runs on regular
electricity. The second one runs on a transformer that needs no battery and no electricity. Therefore, it will run the backup sump pump when the power is out forever. Our homeowners’ basements will be protected from rising water from excessive rains.

You will notice that the basement slab in the mechanical room is built 4 inches
below the basement grade. This is done to absorb any water which may come about from the water heater failing or if both sump pumps fail mechanically, which has yet not happened. Again, you will have another layer of protection against a wet basement.

Finally, our basement walls are built with steel framing and the lower half is drywalled with Green Board (similar to the ones used behind the ceramic in bathrooms) to avoid any mold on those areas.

Do you want to know what else was hot? Yesterday’s Brokers Open starring Kathleen Rollins of Village Settlement, Inc and Laurent Berman of Eagle Bank.

Cars lined the street, brokers and agent talked shop, and an enormous spread of food was served. If you missed this one, pick yourself up and wipe the tears away, because we can promise there will be others. Stay tuned and thank you to all who made this event such a great success!
